Directions to the Films

The location for most of the films in the Appreciating Diversity Film Series is:


Ellen Driscoll Theater

325 Highland Avenue (near Oakland Ave.)

Piedmont, CA 94611

 

The Ellen Driscoll Theater is the school Auditorium for the Frank Havens Elementary School.  There will be a banner over the entrance with our name on it, and a signboard on the sidewalk.  The location is wheelchair accessible.

Public Transportation: BART will take you to the 12th or 19th St. Oakland station.  From the station, exit on Broadway.

The #11 AC Transit bus line on Broadway (going North) will drop you right in front of the Ellen Driscoll Theater, just before the park.


Parking: There is available street parking on Highland Avenue, Oakland Avenue, and the surrounding side streets. 

**Do not park in the adjacent convenience store lot, as you will be towed.


Driving Directions:


From Orinda/Lafayette/WC (and points east):

Highway 24 West through Caldecott Tunnel

Exit onto 13 South (toward Hayward)

Exit at Moraga Rd/Thornhill and stay Right

Merge onto Moraga Rd.

Left onto Highland Ave.

325 is on the right


From Downtown Oakland:

Take Grand Ave. East

Right onto Oakland Ave.

Right on Highland Ave.

325 is on the right


From East Oakland (and points south):

Take 580 North to Grand Ave. Exit

Left onto Grand Ave.

Right onto Oakland Ave.

Right onto Highland Ave.

325 is on the right


From SF/El Cerrito/Albany (and points north):

Take 80 to 580 East

Exit at Harrison Street/Oakland Ave., staying to the left

Left onto Oakland Ave.

Continue straight over several hills

Right onto Highland Ave.

325 is on the right
